EducationDr. Li received her Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours) from McMaster University followed by her medical degree at the University of Toronto. She completed her dermatology residency at the University of Calgary. Dr. Li then continued further advanced cosmetic dermatology and laser training as part of a prestigious American Society for Dermatologic Surgery accredited Fellowship in Virginia, USA. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada and a Diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology.

Interests and FocusDr. Li has special interests and expertise in ethnic skin, acne, rosacea, and laser medicine. She has trained and worked with a number of internationally renowned colleagues and leaders in cosmetic dermatology and laser science around the world.
RecognitionDr. Li is the recipient of numerous academic, leadership, and research awards. She has authored many scientific publications and has spoken in various national and international conferences, including the World Congress of Dermatology, American Academy of Dermatology, Canadian Dermatology Association and American Society for Dermatologic Surgery meetings.
Contributions and CommitmentDr. Li is a double board-certified dermatologist in both Canada and the United States. She is a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Dermatology and Skin Science, and the Department Representative on the Clinical Faculty Advisory Council for the Faculty of Medicine, at the University of British Columbia. She has been a past or current committee member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the Canadian Dermatology Association, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery and Women’s Dermatologic Society.
