李醫生早期取得麥馬士打大學（McMaster University) 健康科學系榮譽學士，隨後在多倫多大學（University of Toronto)獲得醫學學士學位，並在卡加利大學(University of Calgary) 完成皮膚科駐院醫生實習；其後再到美國維珍尼亞州 (State of Virginia) 的鐳射和醫學美容中心完成了美國美容皮膚手術協會的深造培訓。她亦是加拿大皇家內外科醫生協會會員的科研專家和美國皮膚病學委員會專科院士。
